Fall Scarf
I made a scarf for this winter and kristin wanted to wear it. The weather is so crazy. We are still in shorts and tees.
It's hard to believe it's almost November and the leaves are changing. They are beautiful now.
Neighbors
We have some really nice neighbors. I mean really, really, nice. But I just wonder if they think we are weird. Kristin decided to walk the dog in GOGGLES.
She just makes me smile. Crazy girl..
Teachers
Let me just start off by saying, I love Teachers. We have had the privilege of going to 2 different schools and we have gotten really good teachers.
We took some beautiful fall mums to Anna and Lauren's teachers.

Kristin's Couture
We just got back from a trip to the beach because, the beach is better that than school anyday....right.(This is why I love teachers.) While we were there, we went to a shrimp festival on the boardwalk and I loved all the cute clothes that people had to sale. I came straight home to tackle my sewing machine. After hours on Utube, I finally figured it out. (Even Jeremy was impressed). I made a pillowcase dress for starters.
Paper flowers
I had a plain corkboard and I wanted to dress up the thumbtacks. I just used random scrapbook paper that I already head(Maybe, I have excess amounts of scrapbook paper)
Start by cutting a circle and then spiral the circle. You can make the circle any size and the circle does not have to be a perfect circle. I just free hand it.

Turn the paper face side down and fold down the outside edge.

After all the edges are folded down, start at the outside of the spiral and begin just rolling up the paper. You want the center of your paper to be tight rolls.

As you get to the end of the spiral, loosen the paper and it will become fuller.

This is the finished flower. Now, hot glue the bottom of the flower to keep it from unrolling.

Cute

Fabric Flower
Start with scrap fabric. I like shredded sides so i just snip a little and just rip down the length of fabric. I like to use shiny fabric. Cut a felt circle the size you want your flower to be. You don't have to be exact.

Tie an knot in the end.

Hot glue the knot in the center of the circle.

Start gluing the ribbon down in a circle around the knot. Twist and glue.

The more you twist the fabric the tighter your rose will be. If you leave it loose you will have a fuller rose. I like the raw edges of the fabric to show on the flower.

When you completely fill the felt, just wrap the fabric around the back and glue.

You can give the flower a haircut if you have too many loose ends but I like them. Hot glue a hairclip to the back and you have a hair accessory.

Or clip it to your shirt to cover up the mad rash all over your tummy. Lauren was sent home from school today with a virus called 5th's Disease(what a nasty name).

This black flower was glued to a pot for Halloween. Hope you enjoy them.

Our land
This is the entrance to Middle Ridge.

It sits on top of a mountain and overlooks the town and valley.
The leaves are beginning to change and they look amazing.
The land is so unique. There are boulders all over the subdivision. This rock is almost as big as the house next to it .

Art Class
Anna and Lauren took a painting class yesterday and they loved it. I was really impressed with the paintings too.
This is Lauren's painting. She is such a free spirit and her pumpkin needed stars. I love the stars.
