Merry WHITE Christmas

We woke up to the magic of Christmas this morning. The stockings were filled. The girls loved the handmade presents made for each other.
We played outside with the girls gifts for a couple of minutes and then the magic happened......

Then it started to snow. Big flakes. We moved from snow city and the girls wanted snow for Christmas. For weeks, they have asked for snow. Living in the south, we don't usually have a white Christmas.

Well, my girls had snow on Christmas.

We chased snow and we loved it.

Snow is now covered the ground and rooftops. Now, I stand here amazed because in the south we have a white Christmas. Wishing all family and friends a wonderful and magical Christmas.

Merry Christmas!

The Nutcracker

Anna got tickets to the Nutcracker for her birthday.
The girls have been taking a dance class for about 6 months and they knew every ballet step.

Anna's favorite character was the sugar plum fairy. The girls were amazed by the performers. It was really a great show. You were not suppose to take pictures but I had to get this one for the girls.
Anna and her favorite dancer.

Snow, Snow, Snow

The girls woke up last weekend to Snow. They were so excited. They rushed down in their pajamas. It snowed for most of the day. Big giant flakes. Kristin was loving the snow too.

Looking a little like Christmas.

I can't believe Christmas is just a couple days away. The girls are so excited. We filled the house with fresh cedar garlands and it smells so good.
For our table decorations, we used mercury glass, ornaments and cedar.

Dear Thief,

Dear Thief,

Thank you so much for not ruining my day. I am glad to accommodate you with your new found treasures. I am so happy you did not take my purse or take my car for a joy ride. I hope you enjoy the Garmin Nuvi, 2 headphones, sunglasses and I pod cords.

Love ya,

P.S. Super dog and his sidekick are waiting on your return. You know, just in case you want an I pod to go with your fancy new I pod cords.

Driveway

The entrance to our land. This is one of 3 rocks I am landscaping around. It was the length of my car before the excavator broke it in half moving it.

Working his magic.
Finished. This is the entrance to our land.

Our temporary gate.

The driveway goes down crosses a creek and goes up the hill. Now on to landscaping.

Santa, Snow and Taylor Hicks

We took the girls to see Santa. I was actually surprised at Kristin. She loved Santa. She is really into presents and she rattled off everything she wanted this year. Mainly candy, candy and more candy.

Lauren was so funny. She wanted to go by herself. I think she wanted Santa to know how good she has been this year. Ha
The girls posing for a picture after Santa.
They had a snow maker and Anna is my snow girl. She could have played in this all night.

Kristin not quite sure about the snow.

Taylor Hicks(American Idol winner) was there to sing a concert and he took a picture with Anna. We are huge AI fans and it was neat to see him. Wish Carrie Underwood was there too but maybe next time.

Birmingham Zoo

The weather was beautiful this weekend. It was in the 80's and we took the girls to the zoo. We fell in love with these birds. They are called Lorkeets. They will come sit with you and you can feed them nectar. Did I mention that Kristin has an aversion to Birds? Yep, big time. It started in a Indianapolis hotel with Jared and Julianne.Needless, she is less than fond of birds.
Can you sense the fear?

This one jumped on Anna.
Mom, Can we have one???

Kristin

I can't believe my little girl is growing up. She tries so hard to keep up with the big girls.
Kristin, I'm so lucky to be your mom.
